Description: | Perennial slender herb, 80-150 cm, glabrous but upper parts sometimes hairy. Leaves linear, ovate-elliptic or oblong, 2-5 x 0.5-2 cm, entire or crenate. Inflorescence few flowered; flower campaunulate, corolla 3-4 x4-6 mm, purplish, pedicel filiform, 2-3 mm long, pubescent; calyx-tube about 2 mm long.

Tax. Comments: | Flora of Pakistan following the Flora Iranica and lists the taxon as a subspecies. In Flora of China Apocynum venetum is prefered. Its english name is sword-leaf dogbane. |
