Description:Shrubs, deciduous. Stipules persistent and becoming spines. Leaves paripinnate; rachis and petiole becoming a spine after leaf­lets have fallen. Raceme on reproductive branchlets, few flowered; peduncle slender. Calyx campanulate, base oblique; teeth 5, very short.

Habitat:in steppes, sandy and clay deserts, at springs and in the closed depressions, in valleys of the rivers and on pebbles, in tugai and on salt marshes, on saline Sands of sea coasts, in mountains on dry slopes to the lower mountain belt.
